Noelene Bergen from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia sums up what 402 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) users experienced during the 8th MAGNETOM World Summit in Paris, France: “It was such a fantastic experience and I learned so much and enjoyed the time there immensely. I have made some great professional contacts that will be incredibly useful in furthering some projects at Peter MacCallum. I would never have had the opportunity to form these contacts had it not been for this summit. It was one of the best organized conferences I have been to and the calibre of the presentations was astounding.”
Covering the whole range of MRI
True to the motto Listen – Discuss – Share, the organizing team put together an exciting scientific agenda featuring 53 renowned speakers including visionary discussions such as Jürgen Hennig’s: “Pushing the limits of spatial and temporal resolution” or Dieter Enzmann’s view on: “MR/PET and Radiology as information business”. During the three-day congress, lively discussions covered the whole range of MRI. This included topics such as: new imaging techniques, new clinical indications, molecular MRI, cardiovascular MRI, body MRI, musculoskeletal MRI, neurological MRI, and advancing MRI technology - from local imaging to understanding the severity of disease.
Experience what happened on site
Even though only the participants of the summit had the chance to meet colleagues face-to-face, further MRI users have the opportunity to directly exchange opinions and experiences, and to network, as the discussions have been recorded and the majority will be available online at the link below.
